Aoife Greenham is an Irish illustrator and writer, living in Manchester UK with her partner and their two silly cats. Her debut book Big Dance was published by ChildsPlay International in 2021.

For the last 20 years, Aoife has worked in the film, tv and animation industry as a digital compositor, on projects for Disney, Nickelodeon, the BBC, ITV and more.

In 2017 she took a small break to complete a Masters in Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art. Here she was able to combine a love of storytelling and playful communication with her joy in nature and practical hand-made image creation. As well as being a seasoned digital artist, she loves the practical disciplines of screen printing, plate lithography, kitchen lithography and lino printing. Every story and every image begins as a pencil sketch in a notebook.

Aoife grew up on the south west coast of Ireland in West Cork, a haven and inspiration for artists and craftspeople. She still draws inspiration from the environment and community she grew up in.
